Business Case Program for Location-Specific Heavy Vehicle Charging Trials
The Trials Business Case Program is open for a second intake period, seeking proposals from industry, regional and local stakeholders, including local governments. The submission period for the second intake will close on 15 February 2019.
The Trials Business Case Program is designed to test the willingness of heavy vehicle road users to pay a charge in addition to existing registration fees and fuel charges to receive a productivity benefit on a particular route or network.
The process of developing business cases will determine if a potential trial presents a value proposition for all stakeholders. This information will inform decisions about whether or not to progress to implementation.
Proposals will only progress to business case development if they have a strong base of industry and stakeholder support.
