Perth City Deal

In 2019 the Australian and Western Australian Governments agreed to a City deal focusing on Perth CBD.

A Perth City Deal focused on the city centre will create an energised CBD for people to work, live and play through higher population density and an economic boost to city businesses.

On 15 December 2019, the Australian Government announced it will be committing $30 million towards the revitilisation of the WACA, as a key component of the City Deal.

There is a real opportunity to bring more people into the CBD, which means more activity, retail, restaurants and tourism opportunities. All of this would make the city centre more vibrant and safe.

The Australian Government will continue to work with the Western Australian Government and the City of Perth to settle the commitments that will be jointly delivered through a Perth City Deal.
